Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is one of the most adroit and resourceful academic institutes in Sikkim. It has a rich history and it has been providing assiduous educational experience for over two decades in the state of Sikkim. 

In short, the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology is known as the SMIT and it is actually a constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University. Specialized in the fields of education and research, this magistral academic institute has been providing hundreds of scholars every year.

This academic institute emerges with the motto, ‘Excellence through innovation’ and its existence is certainly a persistent repercussion in the educational system of Sikkim from a positive point of view. Its director is Prof. Dr. Ashis Sharma and it has over 3,000 students. At this moment, the institute has over 230 full-time academic staffs. Situated in Majitar, Sikkim, the main university campus is spread across an urban land of 33 acres.
