Passages offers a rigorous, college preparatory curriculum that goes beyond state standards to enhance content mastery, skill development, and critical thinking. We expect every student to perform at or above grade level. Passages offers a longer school day and longer school year to ensure student success.

Passages is currently ranked #14 overall among all charter schools in Illinois. It is one of only two charter schools in which 100% of students meet or exceed 8th grade reading levels, and ranks fifth among all charters in 6th grade math levels.  In the Class of 2012, 90% of students were eligible for application to CPS selective enrollment high schools.

Passages' curriculum is characterized by problem-based and experiential learning, NWEA Measures of Academic Progress, and the Paideia Teaching Strategy. Beyond excellent classroom academics, we feature:

• Enrichment programs for accelerated learners
• Weekly art, Spanish, gym, and Character Education classes
• Free morning care daily, starting at 7:00 a.m.
• After school programs daily until 5:30 p.m.
• Partnerships with Ravinia Music Festival and Chicago Symphony Orchestra
