Pre-K - great. Both Rebecca and Jose know their job.
Kindergarten - decent. Kids are getting ready and get some discipline. It's alright.
Grades - below average. they claimed to have been a Math & Science School though the math program never impressed. Should be better.
Facilities - the school is not brand new... but it's okay.
After school - good.
I obviously recommend preK and K if you consider this school for your child however you might want to look up another option for 1+ grades.
We have only warm memories about this school. Never heard of bullyig and the principal was great and helpful. The facilities quite good too.
We paid for the after school lessons and took swim lessons at Manhattan Youth Center. Strongly recommended!
Overall, this is perfect school for busy families.
At first glance I thought the school was exciting but after having spent two years I could not prove that. The school basics are fine but nobody ever went extra for the kids.
I don't wanna be harsh though cause I really like the principal as a person. The test scores do not suffer either. Just want the staff go extra mile to make the school perfect.
I am good with my son going to this school though I'd prefer a bit less Mexican favored environment. The staff is friendly and the programs are well figured. But the kid speaks Spanish way better than English :).
I understand the nature of our place however I frankly believe the principal might look more towards balanced racial distribution in the Espiritus.
"Connections" is not somewhat proper for this kind of school.
Best of luck
One of the most comfortable school buildings in the Chicago City.
If youre hispanic and consider your kid walking in some kindergarten in Galena Park you might want looking up Cloverleaf El as your school.
Although Cloverleaf El is quite regular school it supports great ealy grades. Once you're child is done with KG you can move forward however you may find worth staying till 5 grade.
