About Us

Heronswood Childcare Centre opened at the end of January 2005. I am a trained Montessori teacher and have been involved in childcare in Carrigaline for the past 22 years and during the past 5 years have been constantly asked by parents if I could provide full daycare.

As part of planning requirements a crèche was built in Heronswoood estate and I purchased it. My two daughters, Alison and Fiona came into the business with me. This helps us to offer a very strong family run service. Alison's background is IT and she now manages the administration of the business. Fiona has trained and qualified in childcare and she manages the daycare side of the business. We offer parents full daycare for children from 3 months, after school service from the local national schools, Montessori preschool, Summer Camp and school holiday cover.

The centre is a beautiful 6,000 sq ft building, which is completely child orientated. There is a large outdoor play area, which has safety surface and playground equipment. We have a fully qualified chef who prepares all the meals for the children in our modern fully equipped kitchen. All the produce used is fresh and the emphasis is on good nutritious meals.
