Intro

Portlaoise Crèche and Montessori opened in 1990 by the current owner Avril Byrne. It has always operated on the Stradbally Rd, which is a very centrally located to the town of Portlaoise. In 2002 the business moved to a new purpose designed premises, which is solely dedicated to childcare activity.

Further Information

Our Creche consists of the following:-

• Three dedicated Playroom for children under 1 year old.
• Study Room for After School Children.
• Four Individual Bedrooms for babies.
• Dedicated Kitchen for Food Preparation.
• Two specially designed play grounds.
• After school playground for older children.

We are active participants in the ECCE Scheme.

Montessori Sessions:-

Our fully qualified Montessori teacher provides Montessori Sessions each morning between the hours of 9.30 and 12.00

Playrooms

There are three generous size playrooms with lots of open space and activity for all age groups.

Bedrooms

We have created four individual bedrooms decorated in different themes to add to the security and comfort of the children. Each room is monitored by close circuit television and is also visited twice per hour by the supervisor.

Playground

For comfort and safety we have two separate playgrounds, which allow us to separate children in different age groups to accommodate their different play needs. The rubber surface on the playground is specifically designed for children playgrounds and the both are securely fenced. Staff: We have a policy of carefully selecting our staff. All our staff are trained and a work rota is in place.

We have a qualified Montessori teacher for our morning sessions.

Parking: There is off street parking for up to 10 vehicles with large areas for drop off and collection of the children.

Opening hours are from 8.am am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday.
