The University of Toronto
Students from over 160 countries call UofT home, it’s a popular choice for international students. There are 3 campuses to choose from (downtown Toronto, Scarborough or Mississauga) and a wide range of classes available. There is a strong foundation of research there, so it’s not a surprise that it ranks 22nd globally as of 2018, and holds strong at number one in Canada.
The University of British Columbia
This school ranks 2nd in Canada and 34th globally. The modern facilities and exceptional alumni, as well as its reputation for quality research, earned this institution it’s rank. There are 2 campuses, one in Vancouver and the other in Kelowna.
McGill University
Coming in at 3rd place in Canada is McGill University in Montreal, which is ranked 42nd globally. This school was the home of Canada’s first faculty of medicine, and currently houses the second largest hospital based research facility in the country. McMaster University
