Techno Global University has been kindling the educational advancement of the state of Meghalaya since 2008 and it is a private higher educational institute. This private university was established in 2008 and its chancellor is Mr. Shankar Nath Mukhopaddhay. Its vice chancellor is Dr. P. Bhattcharya. This Techno Global University is affiliated to University Grants Commission, as every university of India. Apart from its affiliation with UGC, it is also affiliated to the DEC.

At this moment, the university is offering under graduate, post graduate and research programs in various fields of arts, humanities, Science, Social Sciences, Commerce, Education, Engineering, Management, Computer Applications, Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, Journalism & Mass Communications, Library & Information Sciences, Architecture & Town Planning, Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Nursing, Agriculture & Dairy Technology and Law.
