Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology emerges with the motto, ‘Truth, Discipline & Excellence’. It is a private university institute located in Guwahati, Assam and its campus is suburban in nature. The institute campus is spread across an area of 5 acres. At this moment, the institute has over 1,500 students and it has over 100 full-time academic staffs. Its principal is Mr. Susanta Kumar Dutta and its director is Mr. G. C. Kakoti. 

This institute has been established by the SSA or Shrimanta Shankar Academy society. It was also an initiative of the government of Assam.
