Mahavir Institute of Engineering and Technology is a private engineering college established in 2001. This institute has its affiliation with BPUT and AICTE. The chairperson of this university is Mr. Gandharb Chandra Nayak and it has over 1,600 students. The university has over 200 academic staffs as well.

At this moment, the institute is offering B.Tech., M.Tech., MBA and MCA programs for the students.
