O.P. Jindal Global University emerges with the motto, “A private university promoting public sector” and this private university was established in 2009. Mr. Naveen Jindal is the chancellor of this university and Mr. C. Raj Kumar is the Vice chancellor.

The university has over 3,500 students and it has over 250 academic staffs as well. University campus of O.P. Jindal Global University has been spread over a large area and the campus type is urban.
