The university of Allahabad stands with the motto, “Quot Rami Tot Arbores”, which is Latin and it English, it stands for “Every Branch Yields a Tree”. With a long history of over 130 years, this public university was established in 1887. Located in the heart of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, this University is informally called as Allahabad University.

Being the fourth oldest Indian University, it has been originated from the Muir Central College. At some point, this university was called as the “Oxford of the East”. The central University status of Allahabad University was restored in 2005 by the parliamentary act of India.

The main campus is situated across the city of Allahabad and it spreads over the area of Old Katra to Chatham Lines. For its students, it has numerous facilities including multiple hostel buildings, medical facilities, canteens, cafeterias etc.

The University of Allahabad holds different kinds of academic seminars on a regular basis. It has also one of the richest libraries in whole India. E-Contents are available for the students to get themselves up-to-date. The recruitment facility of this university is one of the best, as it has affiliation with the largest business corporations and recruiters in India.
