CSJM Kanpur University was formerly known as Kanpur University and it is a public state university. This public state university is situated in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the largest universities in Asia and it is offering professional as well as academic courses in various disciplines of Science, Arts, Commerce, Law, Engineering, Biotechnology, Computer Applications, Management and Medicine.

The university emerges with the motto, “Rise From Darkness To Light” and this state university was established in 1986. The Chancellor of this university is Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Neliima Gupta is the Vice chancellor of the university.

Located in Kalyanpur, Kanpur, the university campus is urban in nature and it is affiliated to UGC. The main campus of the university is located in the Grand Trunk Road, which is just 11km away from the Kanpur central city.
