The central Agricultural University is located in Iroisemba, Imphal. As the name suggests, the university is solely dedicated to the agricultural studies and research. It is a public university and the university came in to existence in 1993. The vice chancellor of this university is Dr. M. Premjit Singh. Situated in the hill sides of Iroisemba, the university has its affiliation with DARE and ICAR.  

The university is offering education and research facilities in veterinary science, agriculture, fisheries, horticulture, forestry, home science and agricultural engineering. There are seven colleges under the central agricultural university, Imphal and the colleges are spread over six north eastern hills, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalya, Sikkim and Tripura. A brief Overview

  • At present, the institution is offering UG, PG and Doctoral Research program. It has several schools and departments offering enticing tutoring experience. In addition, all of the facilities are equipped with first-rated tools and instruments so that the students could get the best out of them and the research scholars could conduct researches with utmost perfection.
  • The campus area has all the modern amenities for the students. It contains a vast computer lab. The library of this institution is rich and it contains thousands of books. It contains Wi-Fi zone and residence for the students.
  • The institution offers an e-portal of information for the students through their websites, so that the students could be up-to-dated with all essential information.  
  • In addition, it also provides transportation for the students. Furthermore, the campus offers cafeteria and canteen as well. It has a medical facility available for the students. For better accommodation of the academic staffs and research scholars, it has separate residential buildings.
