General information, Ambedkar University Delhi

Ambedkar University, Delhi was previously known as the Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University. The university came in to existence in 2008 and its chancellor is Anil Baijal. The vice-chancellor of this university is Shyam B. Menon.

The university has over 200 academic staffs and over 1500 students. The university has over 500 under graduate students and over 800 post graduate students. In addition, the university is currently training over 100 doctoral research fellows. Located in Delhi, the university has four campuses, old Delhi, West Delhi, South Delhi and North Delhi. The old Delhi campus is also known as the Kashmir Gate Campus and it has an area of 16 acres. The West Delhi campus is known as the karam pura Campus and the south Delhi campus is known as the Lodhi Road campus. The north Delhi Campus is known as the Dheerpur Campus and it has over 110 acres of land.
