Carver Elementary is a Fine Performing Arts Magnet School with a comprehensive gifted program. In addition, there is a full-day kindergarten and a half-day Pre-K program.

Carver has partnerships with the Altgeld Alumni Association, Abejide Toure, and the Altgeld-Murray Advisory Board. Students are encouraged to excel academically and socially.
