McPherson is a magnet cluster neighborhood school with an International Baccalaureate Middle-Years Programme, serving Pre-K through 8th-grade students. 

In addition to our great teachers and strong academic curriculum, we offer weekly art, music, design, physical education, and health classes. We also offer a World Language Program (Spanish) for 5th - 8th grades.

We have excellent technology resources and facilities, including smart boards in every classroom, dedicated science labs, a 700-person auditorium, and fitness center sponsored by the Chicago Bulls.
