Ohio University has expressed its disappointment in the Federal appeals court saying that it wrongfully ruled in the favor of a male student who was found to be involved in a sexual assault case.
The case was held in a lower court’s case by a panel of three judges that dismissed several claims against Miami University. The student was said to have substantial amount of evidence to support a ‘reasonable inference of gender discrimination’. The case was sent back to the U.S. D.C.
Miami University said that it was committed to a fair and impartial disciplinary process.
The female victim in the case agreed to have consensual sexual activity with the student, but afterwards she told him to stop. The male student said that he was too drunk and cannot remember.
