After investigation broke out into how American schools are funded and why the schools serving the lower income group are always complaining of not receiving their due share of the resources, a report was released titled as “Public Foundation Funding Inequality: In an era of Increasing Concentration of Poverty and Resegregation."
The report highlighted the problems faced by the schools trying to provide education to lower income groups, pointing out the lack of skilled ad trained staff and teachers, the absence of resources and the unavailability of school funds. A member of the commission recorded their statement after the report was issued.
“This is America; every child deserves a quality education that does not depend on their zip code.” The problem explained in the report was that numerous schools are experiencing inequity in funding by racial or socioeconomic segregations. The burden increase when the potential students for such schools come to get an education with already massive need for resources and facilities. The report recommended some solutions to these problems, some of which was to give incentives to schools to adopt equitable finance systems and to monitor the fund's collection and expenditure data, to make sure there are no discrepancies.
