Welcome to Discoveryland, Crèche & Montessori, this privately run “home from home” service was founded by Ailish Lee in 2003. It is situated adjacent to Wexford General Hospital.

Discoveryland is opened from 7:45am-5:50pm five days a week, 51 weeks of the year.

We offer full-time, part-time, Sessional and after school services.

At Discoveryland all our staff are fully trained from a level 5 to a level 8 standard and are friendly and enthusiastic.

We cater for children from 5 months to 5years including after school.

At Discoveryland we offer parents the following facilities: Baby / Toddler room Pre- Montessori room 2 fully equipped Montessori rooms (morning and afternoon sessions) Fully equipped and secure outdoor area. In our baby /toddler room children are cared for in a loving and secure environment. They get to develop at their own time and pace while all their development needs are met.

Children who are in the Pre – Montessori room are getting ready for the Montessori rooms, this includes children learning to become independent and self-reliant all while learning through fun. Both these rooms use Síolta and Aistear play based curriculum.

In both Montessori room children are taught different life skills through Practical Life, Sensorial, Maths, Language & Culture this is all taught using the Montessori Method of teaching. By the children learning these skills it helps with the transition to “big school”.

Discoveryland offers both the C.E.T.S and E.C.C.E. scheme to parents. The E.C.C.E. scheme offers parents a free 3 hour session five days per week. This scheme is offered 38 weeks of the year. It is seen that children who use this scheme find it a lot easier for the transition into “big school”.

The C.E.T.S. scheme allows parents to be free of payment while completing a V.T.O.S. course for the following services: Full –time childcare Part-time childcare After school care This can apply for 2 years depending on the V.T.O.S. course. In the summer Discoveryland offers a summer camp for children attending the setting or who wish to attend the setting. This includes children getting a chance to participate in arts n crafts, outdoor play and sports etc.
