Intro

On September 5th 2005 Josephine opened First Steps purpose built Pre-school and Afterschool. In June 2006 she held her official Open Day with Catherine Byrne TD (Lord Mayor of Dublin at the time) as her special guest on the day. In her Open Day speech, Josephine stated, "I have always wanted to be an educator and have wanted to open a facility where the holistic well-being of every child is catered for. Since opening this is what I have strived for, and hope we have achieved to date."

Further information

Josephine's background is in teaching and she has taught both in Ireland and abroad (Spain). As a secondary school teacher she taught Spanish, History, IT and children with learning difficulties. Over the years she has set up special needs departments in schools in both Wicklow and Dublin.
