Intro

We are an owner run sessional Montessori school, offering Montessori classes to all children from 2,1/2 yrs to 5 yrs.

Breakfast Club

Further Information

We have fully qualified and experienced staff committed to providing a child-centred environment and curriculum. We have a large, secure outdoor play area, which we use daily, weather permitting. Our holistic curriculum include arts and crafts, language introduction to Irish, PE, music, drama, storytime and baking, in a nurturing home from home environment.

There are two Montessori teachers in the classroom, with a maximum ratio of 11:1, which allows ample opportunity for all children to gain individual time and attention from their teachers.

Our daily timetable consists of Free Play and Breakfast Club, Circle Time,

Montessori Work Cycle, Snack, Activity Time, Garden Time and Story Time.

What We Do

We offer a full Montessori programme for each child - Practical Life, Sensorial, Maths,

Language and Culture. It is a child-centred, fun and happy environment, where children can become independent and learn at their own pace. Children flourish physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally through the use of the Montessori methods and materials.

Our programme also offers time for play, encouraging children to develop self-control and

self-confidence in a safe environment. Through play children learn practical and social skills, with hands-on experiences, in an enjoyable and fun way.

We have a Project of the Week, encouraging children to bring in items, books, toys, etc relating to the project, which will be discussed during Circle Time. This helps children to gain confidence in speaking in front of their classmates, and also pride in the items they have brought in. We learn songs and poems about each Project and complete art and crafts activities on the theme.

Opening Hours

We are open daily from 09:00-12:30. Our ECCE hours are 09:00-12:00, with the option of ECCE children staying for an additional 30 minutes for a monthly fee. We offer extra curricular Stretch-n-Grow classes on Wednesdays between 12:30 and 2:00.

The school runs term time, September to the end of June, following the local National Schools calendar as much as possible.
