About Us

The Purple Penguin Crèche is family owned and operated with the aim to ensure that the children in our care have a happy, safe and stimulating day! To help in this process we work in close partnership with the families and the crèche staff. We only employ qualified or training childcare staff and we provide them with endless opportunities to advance in different childcare topics as it is the staff that is the most important resource. The crèche has been established to provide high quality standards to the children in our care. We are dedicated to providing an environment which will encourage development by exploration, learning and playing.

Our Aims / the aims of the Purple Penguin Crèche are:-

1) To provide and support the development of each individual child by providing a stimulating environment and an integrated, balanced, broad and differentiated curriculum.

2) To work as a team with parents carers and children to achieve the above

3) To ensure that the children have a happy, safe and stimulating day whilst in our care.

4) To recognize that all children are the adults of the future and therefore understand that we can contribute to preparing and guiding them to grow up as happy, well adjusted adults. We feel that in order to achieve this, we must aim to work together in harmony, showing patience, kindness and respect to each child and our fellow team workers.

5) To cultivate a close relationship with the parents/guardian of the children in our care, by ensuring that they feel welcome at all times. We encourage their input in decision making and keep them informed of their child’s progress on a regular basis.

6) To recognize the importance of “thinking and planning ahead” and therefore place great emphasis on gathering ideas, comments and suggestions which are built in to our monthly staff meetings to ensure that the whole team can plan and prepare for the month ahead.

7) To recognize the importance of continual in service training for staff and aim to attend courses on a regular basis to enhance our skills and development as people involved in the important role of caring for children.

8) To strive to create an atmosphere of happiness and harmony and are committed to providing a safe, caring environment for the children in our care.

9) To provide a secure learning environment which will enable children to be children, respectful of themselves and others, happy, content, compassionate , caring, independent, tolerant, patient , curious, creative, appreciative and appreciated
