Cairde Afterschool Service - provides complete care service outside of school hours, also full-day care during school holidays. A healthy tasty dinner is provided each day.

In 2002 when I could not find the type of care I wanted for my school going son, the statement above led to the birth of Cairde After School Care. My wish was for a home from home environment where my child could relax, be safe and feel he belonged. Twelve years later we are still here offering that same service to our children and their families.

Our purpose built facility is dedicated to the needs of school going children and includes a secure and safety surfaced outdoor play area. We offer a collection service from local primary schools and provide a hot meal daily together with homework supervision and assistance. During school holidays we are open all day and in addition to a hot midday meal we provide morning and afternoon snacks and a full activity programme. Our objectives are to ensure a safe, secure and stimulating environment for our children where they can relax and enjoy their time together. We include the children in decisions which pertain to their day to day lives in the centre and foster appreciation and understanding of their environment, surroundings and each other. To our parents and guardians we offer an open door policy and are always available to discuss any aspect of a child’s care and development. We understand that finding the right care for your child, particularly at a transition period such as starting ‘big’ school is a daunting task. We are therefore happy to welcome you and your child to come in, spend some time with us and experience our service for yourself. We look forward to meeting you.
