”Here in Amanda’s Playschool we offer a home from home experience for children. Our experienced staff believes each child should be treated with love and respect. Children learn best when they feel safe and secure. Busy children are happy children.

We cater for children from two to five years of age. We offer a combination of Montessori/Playschool. During the first part of the session we have free play.

I am trained with St Nicholas Montessori and I work on a one to one basis with each child. Therefore each child can progress at their own paces.

During the second part of the session we work as a group together. We do tabletop activities which include a worksheet and a craft each day. We do painting, playdoh, cutting, musical instruments, singing, story time and circle time. We operate in one large bright spacious room. This allows the children carry out many different activities at once. Children thrive in a caring environment.

Each child’s personality is nurtured and they are encouraged to develop their own uniqueness. During the summer term we go outside to play tennis, frisbe, foot ball and water play. Highlights of the school year include a visit from Santa, a Christmas concert, a lamb who needs to be bottle fed, chicks, ducklings and goslings come to visit. We offer the free ECCE scheme on a four day basis.

Our sessions are

9.00am until 12.30pm,

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

We are open for 41weeks a year.

In the free scheme your child gets 549.5 hours .

This is exactly the same as a 5 day week setting with a three hour session.”
